Did you know?

The name of this tartan can be traced back to the Bruce family, when some of the Bruces of Clackmannan acquired land in Kinnaird, Stirlingshire. The Bruce of Kinnaird tartan was copied from a coat believed to date from the mid-18th century and was owned by the Bruces of Kinnaird. The current Lord Bruce decided to adopt this tartan as the family tartan and had one woven in the same style as the old coat. The tartan is worn today by the Elgin family as everyday wear. Furthermore, this tartan is a favorite of Vivienne Westwood for her collections.
